AOM Pile Foundation Modeler
The Pile Foundation Modeler is a LARSA 4D AOM, or Analytical Object Modeler, application. AOM provides an environment of intuitive controls for parametric design in a high-level, object-based modeling environment.
The LARSA 4D Pile Foundation Modeler streamlines the workflow to integrate substructure into refined 3D FEA bridge models, enabling the design and analysis of pile foundations based on the principles of soil-structure interaction.
The application includes a built-in library of 3D-object based structural objects such as piles, pile caps, and soil layers. Soil-structure interaction springs for lateral resistance (PY) and axial surface friction (TZ) are automatically generated by the application according to the soil models selected by the user from the application’s library. All models created can be analyzed directly within the Pile Foundation Modeler or exported to LARSA 4D where they can be merged with the bridge superstructure model.
